8th Grade Trip Update! 🚌
Yesterday our group toured the US Capitol, Smithsonian Museums, and visited the Eisenhower and WWI memorials.
This morning they stopped to see the Iwo Jima memorial before they headed to Arlington National Cemetery where four of our students participated in a Wreath Laying Ceremony.
They are currently en route for home. Please join us in praying for safe travels.
8th Grade Trip Update! 🚌
Our 8th graders are officially half way through their trip! Highlights have included stops at the Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, National Archives, Air Force Memorial, Library of Congress, Museum of the Bible, Holocaust Memorial Museum, Vietnam War Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Mount Vernon, MLK Jr. Memorial, Jefferson Memorial and the International Spy Museum.
Today brought some rain, but Mrs. Smith reports that the kids are doing great even though they are tired. She also mentioned their group has received many compliments on how well-behaved they are from passersby.
They’re looking forward to Capital Tour tomorrow and Arlington on Friday!

🚨🚨 There are signs at the Alton Darby railroad crossing that indicate the road will be closed starting today and lasting for 2 days. There are also signs at various other track crossings that may impact those traveling from the north. Longer than usual travel time is expected. This morning Pastor Holley joined us to share the story of four men who dug through the roof where Jesus was preaching in order to bring their paralyzed before Jesus. He shared about Four-Corner Friends, the importance of having them and being one.
Pastor Holley then pointed out some qualities we can see in a Four-Corner Friend.
• 4-corner friends look for ways to make others lives better.
• 4-corner friends are loyal even when it isn't popular.
• 4-corner friends do
whatever they can to bring their friends to Jesus.
Dinner at the Der on Tuesday 4/14 from 5-7:45pm at the Der Dutchman in Plain City ! Help yourself to a buffet style meal while our 8th grade class does the serving.
15% of the evening’s sales will go toward our 8th grade trip! No tickets necessary.
