This morning at Chapel, Mrs. Jameson shared about the importance of training. Spiritual training has value for everything. (1 Timothy 4:8 ) Need to have drills, a coach and uniforms. Training in Godliness (2 Timothy 3:16) Have to practice to show goodness, having integrity (doing the right thing when no one is looking), doing the right thing. How do we do that? 1. We have to be on God’s team 2. We have to show up to practice- go to church, go to chapel, Sunday school, Bible class. 3. We have to know the plays- the Bible is our play book and it will teach us how to train, where we will hear from the coach, God 4. Then we can put it all into practice- pay attention to your teacher, speak kindly, be gentle, have patience, helping others She concluded by reminding students that training takes lots of practice! You have to choose to practice. You have to keep practicing until you get it right. You have to choose to live your in righteousness. Will you choose to be on God’s team?

Lollipop Orders due 2/7/25
Today at Chapel, Miss Fravel's class showed us how Nursery rhymes help to remind us about God and how we are to live our lives for Him. Humpty Dumpty reminds us to not go back and forth between following Jesus or doing our own thing. We don’t want to fall off the wall because we are teetering too much. Jack and Jill remind us that our words are important. We don’t want them to tumble and fall by not being gentle and loving. The Itsy Bitsy Spider reminds us to always keep trying to climb towards God. Don’t give up! The concluded by asking, "What kind of Christian do you want to be? One who falls and doesn’t keep trying to be like Jesus or to do we keep striving to be more like Jesus each moment of the day."

Cameron Spear spoke to Middle School this morning about the parable of the Prodigal Son. Two things that never change for us as followers of Christ: -Our identity as His children. -His love for us. An opportunity was given and accepted by many to accept Christ, stay with Christ, or return to Christ. Praise God!

"6th Grade Flex Class hosted Bristol Frock from Philippians 2, an organization that ministers to the homeless populations in the Columbus area. The class donated money to purchase and assemble blessings bags to be given to this ministry. The class also created and secretly delivered countless "Good Day Graffiti" cards to bless students and staff alike here at Cypress." ~ Mrs. Eaton
