This morning our 4th - 8th grade students had a special guest come in and talk with them about the Team Tressel Fitness Challenge. Ted Ginn Jr., who played for The Ohio State University and several NFL teams, shared how fitness, nutrition, and good sleep have helped him throughout his career. He also took some time to do some exercises with a group of students.
We hope this was a motivational experience for our students. If they have not started the challenge, but would still like to, they can start now. The challenge runs through mid-December, so it's never too late to get started!

Pastor Appreciation Chapel! ⛪️
This morning Pastor Doug McCoy came to share with students the role of a pastor and the biblical origin of the role of a pastor. He highlighted the section of Matthew chapter 9, “Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Pastors were then invited in to the center of the gym to receive small gifts of appreciation and be prayed over. We are so grateful for each and every pastor and the calling God has placed on their lives.

Chapel Tuesday ⛪️
Miss Fravel and her first grade class began by leading praise & worship this morning. They then shared about the Great Commission, found in Matthew 28:16-20. She pointed out that in October we see lots of scary things, but the dark and scary stuff in the world isn't limited to one month. Our job as Christians is to shine Jesus's light and let everyone know that Jesus loves them. Each student received two small paper stars. One to keep as a reminder of God's love for them and the other to share with the message, "Jesus loves you".

Chapel Tuesday ⛪️
This morning we heard from Pastor Lewis about rules. He shared that God established rules from the beginning, those rules were broken and God provided more in order to repair our relationship with Him and each other.
In the book of Matthew, Jesus says there are two rules that are the most important that have been the same since the beginning. “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

Chapel Tuesday! ⛪️
Mrs. Jameson spoke this morning about the importance of thinking God's thoughts. Philippians 4:8 reminds us that we are to think about whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. She shared all about the human brain, the amazing things it can do, and how it uses neurons to send messages all over the body, which creates connections. The girls volleyball team used yarn to demonstrated how neural pathways can form with repeated thought patterns, both positive...and negative. If we get stuck in "Stinkin' Thinkin" we can remember that Romans 12:2 tells us to not be like the people of this world, but to let God change the way we think.

This past Tuesday, Fruit of the Spirit award recipients were recognized for demonstrating Love. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Gal. 5:22-23
