Miss Fravel joined us in chapel to talk about New Year’s resolutions. Colossians 3 tells us about being made new in Christ and the types of goals we should have for ourselves. She then used a full cart of basketballs (old habits) and volleyballs (new Godly habits) to demonstrate that conflicting habits can’t all fit in one cart. She encouraged everyone to give up sinful habits in exchange for ones that honor God.

Parents Day Out! Saturday December 6th from 11:30-2 in the Activity Center (lunch room)
Help the 8th grade students raise some trip funds while you get some time for yourself to shop or wrap.
Cypress students in grades K-4th are invited for an afternoon of food, crafts, games, and fun!
Cost is $20 per student. We still have spaces still available. Registration closes at noon on Wednesday.

Chapel Tuesday ⛪️
This morning over 220 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child were collected and prayed for before being dropped off by an awesome group of volunteers.
Fruit of the Spirit award recipients were then recognized for demonstrating the fruit of Peace.

Veteran's Day Chapel 🇺🇸 Yesterday Mr. Dustin Vance, a veteran of the U.S. Army, joined us to share about the heroes in his life, his time in the army, and how he's serving his community now. He concluded by sharing one of his favorite Bible verses.

Did you know your car has some parts made from corn? 5th Grade had an "aMAIZEing" day today at The Maize at Darby Creek! We are happy to report that all fifth graders and adults returned safely to school from the maze, had tons of fun, AND learned a lot about how important corn is in our everyday lives. These facts will mean even more when fifth grade begins to study Mezo-American cultures this winter.
